Does the Bible Apply to All Men and Women?

Good morning Pastor John.

We have been given these scriptures for our edification and education:

Romans 13:1-2 – Let every soul be subject to the higher powers…the powers that are ordained of God.

Therefore, whoever resists the power, resists the ordinance of God…and shall receive to themselves damnation.

1 Peter 2:13-14, 17 – Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake; whether it be to the king…or unto governors… Honor all men. …Love the brotherhood. Honor the king.

There is an impeachment in process. A circus of insanity, hypocrisy and self will. That is the secular world’s strife. My question is: do these scriptures apply to the current politicians? Or are they only applicable to the Body of Christ? We know that all who are in the world are evil, some more duplicitous than others, but are we to judge the world according to the truth of God or are they outside the arena of our judgment, i.e., none our business. I’m having a hard time reconciling whether or not to apply those godly exhortations to those who are fighting their worldly fight, or to just ignore them, or dismiss the conflict entirely, for my peace of mind. Are the words of God applicable to them or not?

This is what inspired me to reflect on this:
The African American retired Lt Colonel and Congressman from Florida, Allen West:

“As I watched the impeachment vote unfold, I found it interesting that the party that believes the Constitution is irrelevant—written by “old white men and slave holders”—now wants to defend the Constitution. If this weren’t so serious, the hypocrisy would be laughable.”

Hi Brad.

The only commandment in the Bible for sinners in this world is the commandment to repent.

Acts 17:30 KJV
[30] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

So, let the evildoers do their evil; it will all work for our good if we love God and are called by Him for His purpose.
