Pastor John,
I took some notes on the meeting of things that were said that stood out to me, and I thought they were so good! Sometimes I think it is helpful for it to sink in more if I read it, so I wanted to send them to you in case anyone else wanted to read them!
“You don’t have to defend yourself, explain yourself… you just have to be in love with Jesus. Whoever that touches, then that’s who God wants, scripture or no scripture.”
“The Holy Ghost is the spirit of truth, it has more authority in it than the scriptures do. The Bible is going to burn up, but the holy Ghost won’t.”
“If the Son of God sets you free, then you are free indeed. Free to obey God all the time. Free to be free, and to be happy about it.”
“One thing we know is that God has loved us. How entangled is your soul with this world? You don’t want to have a yoke with this world.”
“God prunes us from interest in things of this world that tug at us. We need to fall so much in love with Jesus that we want to be pruned.”
“Whichever direction you want us to go, God, pulls us in that direction. Let us have an ear to hear it.”
“God has an answer for us. Everything that He has pruned on us, it’s Him saying He is going to save us if we just hold on.”
“Go to God first, with any problem you have. He will always be there, and we need to trust Him.”
“We know that all things work together for our good. If there is a correction, then praise God, it’s for our good.”
“Everything except the holy Ghost is not right. Be of good cheer, the holy Ghost is here! It’s the only thing in this world that is right, pure, and clean. It’s the only thing that will take you out of the grave.”
“Everything that God has ever taught us has given us power to love Him more. He is pure, and His word is pure, and it purifies us when we take it in and love it. We want to see Jesus and love Him the way the Father does.”
