Hey John,
I saw this short video clip (below) on Facebook recently and was surprised by the caption with it. I don’t think I ever really connected that some Christians teach water baptism is the same as being filled with the Spirit. This was sad to watch. These very sincere looking people are being taught that this IS the holy Ghost baptism. Uggh!!! 💔 
No, it’s not!
Where is the real relief for them? (Like we see when someone really gets the real holy Ghost?) You can see their sincere desire for the Lord, but what they are getting is a lie. And the end of that lie is the death of their souls, unless they continue on to get the real holy Ghost.
On top of that, seeing the numerous comments of people who believe that water baptism is the same as Spirit baptism was eye opening. I also saw where God’s children, who commented about speaking in tongues, have wrong ideas about it (that it is a gift, that not all believers have that gift, etc.). Lord help them and us. It makes me want even more to do my part to be a witness for the truth.
