Pastor John,
The feelings of the spirit living in us is worth everything! Last night after reading a text from a backslidden brother, I went and laid across the bed. The one thing in his text that really struck me was when he said he can’t live or die. He could have lived, John, and that statement just hit me so hard! He could have lived!
I started watching videos of people on YouTube and hearing about their experience of receiving the holy Ghost. I love hearing about people being touched by God. It didn’t matter what words they used, it was feeling the Spirit alive in them. Jacob came and laid across the bed, and I thought Lord, “Help me to help him value this!” I pulled up videos of some famous ministers and we listened to them, and after that, Jacob asked me, “Why do they use the word ‘church’ so much?” I told him that sometimes even godly people use religious words that they feel aren’t quite right, but keeping traditions can sometimes override what the Spirit is telling a person. And I told him that he can trust the Spirit, and to watch for that, and listen to Jesus, in case he wants to tell you something you don’t know. We talked about how there is power in what we have been given from Jesus.
What and honor it is to be here and hear the things of God like we do. It was very sweet watching him as he watched people on You Tube talking about their healings! I feel so rich!
