Pastor John:
Amy and I like the new sentence you added to the God Had a Son book:
The way of “Satanism” is no more the way of Satan than the way of “Christianity” is the way of Christ.
We both think it fits wells where you put it – and it certainly is true! Before God touched me in 2007, I was dabbling in various world religions, and “Satanism” was one of them. It’s basically just a “religion” of the flesh – they promote openly indulging in and giving into every fleshly lust and desire, rather than trying to cover it up and appear moral and upright, like many Christians do. And it allows a person to dress as goofy and as weird as they want to, and perform “Satanic” rituals to puff you up and make you feel like you have some kind of power over people.
I remember thinking how ironic it was, when Jesus opened my eyes to the truth – that I was playing around with religions like Satanism, Buddhism, etc., while others whom I knew were staunch Christians. But the truth of the matter was that they were involved in the real religion of Satan, while I was just a pathetic sinner searching for something real – but God was about to start dealing with me.
