Hi, Pastor John:
What a wonderful meeting last night. It seemed it has been so long since we (remotes) had been with you. Thank God for JustinTV! It was very refreshing and good to see and hear everyone.
You were talking about being under authority (as a husband); it was so good. God has been talking to me about some of the same things. God had already given the authority for me to be a husband before I became one. The same for when I became a father, or a worker, or anything else; the authority is already established for whatever situation that God will give us. I don’t have to seek for it — it’s already there. It was the same when Aaron became the high priest in the OT or when Jesus became our high priest in the NT. The authority and power to enforce laws, statutes, and commandments and feelings were established before they were ordained.
Where I have made mistakes and missed God is not knowing or not recognizing the authority I have (as a husband and father) that God gave to me. However, it does take humility, wisdom, and grace to live under that authority, and, above all, growing in the Spirit and learning how to use that authority, That is why it is so important for our children to see the father, especially, living holy under authority, because when our children see the Father working in us, and it creates holiness and the fear of God in them. I love it! It has order and government, in which I did not have as a child growing up or have at the meetings I use to attend before I met you. Our children are so blessed to live where government is!
I loved the song that Sandy and you sang, and the songs that Gary and Darren sang. I loved seeing Gary yield to the Spirit; that is living under authority and government. You can see the growth that Paul and Jammie have in the Lord since their time living in NC , and I love being around their sweet boys.
They are totally different kids! We are looking so forward to meeting Patty. We saw her from behind on JustinTV, but I really want to see that beautiful smile that God gave her. It was so wonderful seeing Amy and Vince there, too. It looked so natural. It all was so wonderful! What a good Father and big Brother we have!
Hope to see you, soon. I am so excited.
Billy
