hi pastor john,
got a question for you. I’m reading in Romans chp 15,verses 16 thru 21. while i was reading in verse 18 it came on me that Paul was referring to the” law of circumcision”.
=============
Paul could possibly have been referring to the Law in verse 18, since Christ had not revealed to him a gospel that included the works of the Law, but if that is what Paul was referring to, he chose an odd way to say it.
=============
and in verse 20, as i was reading it came on me that he was referring to not building on peters gospel to the Jews, but i also see it as in nations of gentiles where Christ hadn’t been preached.
==============
In that verse, Paul is only speaking of preaching where no one else had ever preached the gospel.
==============
I wanted to ask you this because i dont want side tracked, I only want what god truly will reveal. I know that they had been trying to get him to add circumcision to his gospel , acts chp 15, I’m sure Paul had pressure on him to add the law but he refused and endured to what god gave him to teach
thanks

You’re welcome, RS And yes, the pressure on Paul top compromise the truth was enormous. He was a real man of God, and as he himself said, he “fought a good fight.”
