Hi John,
The things I have been seeing and feeling every since the Labor Day weekend are wonderful to me. I value what God has been doing for us and teaching us. I see clearer than ever how evil it is to worship any other way than in spirit and in truth. In Hosea 4:6, God said through Hosea, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” And in Proverbs 4:7, Solomon said, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. With all your getting, get understanding.”
I have always prayed, “God, let me do what is right even if I don’t understand what I am doing.” That is good, but how much better it is to understand what I am doing, and why, and what it means to God’s people. How important it is to keep the commandments of God, and it is a commandment to worship him in spirit and truth and not in doctrines and commandments of men and their tradition.
I can see clearer how evil it really is to continue in something you know is not of God, just because of tradition and doctrines and commandments of men. God’s people need us to stand fast in what he is letting us understand for their sake, and ours. Understanding gives us strength and freedom from anything that God is not in, and the strength to say so, no matter what anyone else believes or doesn’t believe.
John, I am so thankful that God has sent an anointed man such as you to help me and all his people that take it in. All the understanding and knowledge that He has given you to teach us is more valuable than most of us realize at times. I thank you for helping me understand what I feel and love so much.
