Matthew 9:20-22

Pastor John,

If the woman with the blood disease, in Mathew chapter 9, had said within herself, “If I could only see Him, I shall be whole”, Instead of,  “If I may but touch His garment…”  would she have been made whole when she saw Him?

If the answer is yes, what does that mean for us? Are we setting the bar, within our own hearts, as to where we can meet God, release our faith and receive?  If so, can we pray to move that bar, or remove it?

Thank you,

Jerry

Mathew 9: 20-22

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: 21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. 22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole.”

Hi Jerry,

That’s an interesting question, but one that I don’t believe anyone but God could answer.
