Sunday Nov 1st mtg. . .

Whew!  I began this morning on my face, before, during and throughout the meeting.  I felt a burden lifted by the songs: Donna’s, Sandy’s and Gary’s, and yours, pastor John.  But it felt good to be still and humble before the Lord, after a week of time spent with worldly cares and worldly conversation with relatives.  Wow, just feeling the emptiness that most people dwell in—day to day—puts a burden on a Spirit-filled heart.

It was good to be amongst my family this morning, to pray for those who are sick, and for those who are compromising the security of our nation.

Coy was a joy, as always.  Everything felt good today.  A nice spiritual bath.  Good way to begin the new month.

I am looking forward to Thanskgiving.

God bless.

Pastor John,

Sunday morning, during the reading of The Gospel of John, you spoke of the authority of Jesus, over all of His creation, and that- “It was no wonder the storm calmed when He spoke. It was His storm!”  You reminded us that every single element of all of the Lord’s creation on Earth, obeys its Lord.  Everything…..except men. Men are the only thing that resist its creator.

After you said that, I heard these words: “Men are also the only creation here on Earth that receive the reward of Glory, as joint heirs with Christ, when they do obey!”

It made me think, no rain drop will ever be praised for falling when commanded to fall. It has no choice. Nothing has a choice here, but men. Only men have the choice to be wise and live forever in Glory, or to be fools and die. I believe that would mean that all foolishness that exists on this earth, exists solely in the hearts of men. What other creation can be charged with foolishness, when all of creation obeys its Lord?

Men are the only creation on Earth that can, and do, move outside of the will of God.  I pray not to be numbered with them in the end.

What a reward is in store for those who choose wisely!
