Time to Go to Work (2)

Dear Bro. John,

I loved Jenny’s email, “Time to go to work (1)”.  As I read it, I could not help but think of the verses from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8:

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

All our “times” really belong to Jesus.  How sweet to hear his voice directing us through these times in our life.  How wonderful to know just how much he cares for us.  And every time we hear his voice, it not only blesses the one hearing from Jesus, but all those who hear the sweet testimony of him such as Jenny shared with us today.  I loved it.  There is nothing like hearing from him.

And just as a testimony of Jesus should do, Jenny’s experience made my heart yearn to hear him speak more, too.  So sweet!  Thanks for sending this.
Just makes me want to get still, away from all the static of the world, and listen for him.

Sandy
