Not Everyone

Pastor John,

I have always thought of this more for those in Christianity, but I woke up thinking about how terrifying it is that it could be one of us. It could be me. How terrifying to come up short.

I know how fast I can feel dry in the spirit if I don’t seek out that time with Jesus. I really feel that is a life rope from Jesus for me because it makes me need his touch so. I hate feeling dehydrated in spirit. To think one could be so dehydrated they are now delusional and do not see how badly they need a drink, a touch. To think one could spend years thinking they are pleasing the Lord because they have the holy ghost but really Jesus may say ” I never knew you”. Oh I pray I never hear those words.

How important it is to continue to seek Jesus and to have many experiences with him, is on my heart this morning.

21. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Master! Master!’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Master! Master! Haven’t we prophesied in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and performed many miracles in your name?’”  Matthew 7:22-23
