Pastor John,
The Lord taught me something a couple of weeks ago, and I wrote it down at the time. I wanted to send it to you.

God can use the disobedient to bless the obedient.
If a child of God is foolish with his money and buys what he can’t afford, those who are prudent with their money may be blessed by buying those things later at a discount when the foolish must try to [sell it and] recoup those needed funds.
If a spouse works himself into the ground for wages he doesn’t need, or wages to replace money ill-spent, those extra wages may serve to bless the godly in his home who didn’t work so hard, but instead kept their mind and efforts toward the Lord.
You told us a story once where a foolish child of God was spending too much time fishing. The young man was admonished; his pastor told him such time didn’t exist in his life for constantly fishing when God’s work remained undone. But he did not listen and went fishing anyway. Then, the young man scoffed at his pastor (who didn’t have time for fishing) behind his back because his pastor later ate and enjoyed the fish the young man had caught.
I tell you it is scary. God will bless a faithful to enjoy the fruit of a foolish believer’s disobedient and self-willed labors.
God uses the foolish in His house to bless the wise – all the time.
Jerry
