I wanted to say how much I have been blessed by Jonathan and Karlee singing “There was Jesus”. The words to that song are so very true. It reminded me of my own life and how so many times when I was a teenager trying to find my way. I made mistakes and I made some good choices along the way and every time “There was Jesus”. Being a teenager/young adult is not easy with all the things in your face pulling on you….but Jesus knows exactly where you are. He is so good! I am so thankful Jesus was there, and he brought me to where I am today, happy in him. When you have been disappointed, hurt in various ways, people who you thought were your friends turn on you or leave you, and Jesus comes and takes your hand, there is no other comfort this world can offer. I found out what was REAL and true and what true is love.
I looked up the writer of this song, and he has a sweet testimony. Jesus help him.
Thanks to Jonathan and Karlee and Brother Gary also for singing and playing this song. It really touched my heart, especially coming from them. This is an experience song……
