The Body and Blood of Christ

Dear Bro. John:

I just finished reading the above article.  In one way, my heart sinks in sadness for God’s people who still partake and believe this lie, and then I throw up my hands in thankfulness to Jesus who has revealed the truth to us concerning such things.  Every time I read such foolishness, I realize with great humility how much Jesus has done for us by filling us with his sweet holy Ghost.  With humility because I once in ignorance partook of these traditions of men in Christianity, even though I never understood any of it (water baptism, saved doctrine, Trinity, etc). If one questioned these things, it was always, “you have to take it by faith”.  What kind of relief does that bring a heart?  I can tell you it brought none to me.

As I read the article, one phrase jumped out to me:

“The day marks a celebration of the Eucharist — namely, the belief in the “real presence” of Jesus Christ, according to faith leaders.

I’ll tell you what the “real Presence” of Jesus Christ is: the baptism of the holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues!  THAT Presence does not require transforming any bread or wine into Jesus Christ.  That Presence transforms YOU!  Praise God!!

Jesus said in Matthew 24:

[24] Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.

[25] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess

[26] Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

[27] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness.

When considering what is God and what is not God, “according to faith leaders” in Christianity is a dangerous path.  Jesus says they are “blind guides”.  Seek God for answers and understanding.  He will put your feet on the right and righteous path.

Sorry for the length, but my heart was overwhelmed with thankfulness after reading this article and realizing how much Jesus has done for us.  He’s done more than I ever thought that he would do.  I lift my hands and heart in praise to him today.

And I thank God that he did not send us a “blind guide”, but a pastor after his own heart who has taught us wisdom concerning the Father and the Son.  I cannot thank him enough.  It is good to be reminded how blessed we are.

Sister Sandy 🙂
