Pastor John,
I wanted to say how thankful I am for another year and all the blessings I’ve had.
Today, as I was driving to the bank to take out our tithe, thankfulness filled me. I thanked Jesus for allowing us to bring our tithe to you and that we can be a part of what that holds for our future. Then, Timothy looked out the window and saw how wonderfully green the field was on the way. He commented on it and I told him it was because of all the rain that Jesus has been giving. “Isn’t it beautiful?” He agreed and we thanked Jesus for the rain. Then a few minutes later, almost to the bank, a car pulled right in front of me instead of in the turn lane, coming from my left! If i hadn’t pushed my brakes hard, he would’ve got my whole front end. I thanked Jesus out loud for a vehicles with brakes that work and that he kept my family safe! Whew.
It felt good to feel thankful like that this morning! Jesus takes good care of us in this life, our physical needs, emotional needs, our safety. This is the last minute of the year and I’m ending it and beginning a new one with these thoughts. Nothing sweeter than Jesus!
