Pastor John,
I was considering this morning how often the truth of God is rejected by those who hear it. A Bible verse then came to mind, and then an understanding of what God is doing for our little part of the body of Christ here, through those countless rejections:
John 7:17 (KJV)
“If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.”
By God hiding His truth (doctrine) from those who are not “doing His will”, God is keeping us free from the disobedient, and free from their sin…and the destruction of communion and fellowship that would surely follow.
That is wonderful.
