{"id":10120,"date":"2018-02-25T20:55:22","date_gmt":"2018-02-25T20:55:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=10120"},"modified":"2018-02-25T20:55:22","modified_gmt":"2018-02-25T20:55:22","slug":"tonights-reading-in-mathew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/10120\/tonights-reading-in-mathew\/","title":{"rendered":"Tonight&#8217;s Reading in Mathew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Tonight, during our reading in <strong>Mathew 9<\/strong>, we considered aloud the Lord&#8217;s commandment to two blind men, whom He had healed after they came crying for his help.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">27.&#8221;&#8230;two blind men followed him, crying out and saying, \u2018Have mercy on us, O son of David!'&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">&#8230;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">30<\/span>.<span style=\"color:#000000;\">&#8220;&#8230;and their eyes were opened, but Jesus sternly warned them, saying, &#8216;<strong>See to it that no one knows!&#8217;<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">31<\/span>. <span style=\"color:#000000;\">Nevertheless, when they went out, they spread his fame throughout that region.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Later on, in our reading, you also explained how, &#8220;Everyone on Earth welcomes a healing. The Muslims included; everyone wants their family well.&#8221;\u00a0 (to paraphrase what you said).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Taking all of that into consideration: How\u00a0Jesus healed folk who asked and believed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\"><strong>KJV\u00a0 Luke\u00a04:40<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>\u00a0\u201c<\/strong>Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">As well as how he commanded, at least some of them, not to speak of their healings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">30 &#8220;&#8230;Jesus sternly warned them, saying, &#8216;<strong>See to it that no one knows!'&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Combined with the understanding that:\u00a0<strong><em>all\u00a0men<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0desire a healing<\/em>, and this, without necessarily desiring the Father or His son Jesus, at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I wonder if Jesus, by &#8220;sternly warning them to tell no one&#8221;, was trying to keep the healings from growing into something that required 100% of His available time?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">While still wanting to heal and help all of those that the Father would permit,\u00a0<em>with the short life-span that he was allowed<\/em>, but not wanting the function of healing to turn into His sole function on Earth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Maybe too many folk seeking him just for a healing, would have hindered his ability to get out the message of the Kingdom of God? He spent a great deal of time (the recorded time that we are given in the scriptures), speaking to men.\u00a0 Often &#8220;likening&#8221; the Kingdom of God, to things in this world, so that men could better understand Him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The Message was preached with miracles, signs and wonders, but perhaps he was trying to avoid becoming a manufacturer of\u00a0<em>nothing but<\/em>\u00a0miracles and signs, so that he could help men to prepare for the kingdom of God that he was about to make available to men?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A lot of what if(s).
