Here are some Psalms we have been working on lately, and finished.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u23b7Psalm 50<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b61. The mighty God, Jehovah, spoke, and He called to earth from the rising of the sun until its going down.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Our God shall come, and He will not be silent!\u00a0 Fire will devour before Him, and around Him it will be very tempestuous.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. He will call to the heavens from above and to the earth to judge His people,<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. \u201cGather my saints to me, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice!\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. And heaven will declare His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge.\u00a0 Selah.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. \u201cListen, O my people, and let me speak!\u00a0 O Israel, I will testify against you!\u00a0 I am God \u2013 your God!<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Not for your sacrifices will I reprove you, nor for your burnt offerings that are continually before me.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. I am not taking a bullock from your house\u00a0or\u00a0he-goats from your folds,<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. for every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. I know every bird of the mountains, and the creature of the field is mine.<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is mine and its fullness.<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of he-goats?<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Offer to God the sacrifice of praise, and pay your vows to the Most High,<\/span><\/li>\n
  14. and then call on me in the day of trouble!\u00a0 I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
  15. But to the wicked man, God says, \u201cHow dare you declare my statutes, or take up my covenant into your mouth!<\/span><\/li>\n
  16. You despise correction, and you cast off my words behind you.<\/span><\/li>\n
  17. When you see a thief, you are pleased with him, and your portion is with adulterers.<\/span><\/li>\n
  18. You turn your mouth loose with evil, and your tongue contrives deceit.<\/span><\/li>\n
  19. You sit with your brother,\u00a0and yet, you speak slander against your mother\u2019s son.<\/span><\/li>\n
  20. These things you have done and I remained silent.\u00a0 You thought that I was altogethersuch a one\u00a0as yourself.\u00a0 I will reprove you, and I will set\u00a0things\u00a0in order before your eyes.<\/span><\/li>\n
  21. Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear in pieces \u2013 and there will be no deliverer.<\/span><\/li>\n
  22. He who offers the sacrifice of praise and orders\u00a0his\u00a0way glorifies me.\u00a0 I will show him the salvation of God.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When Nathan the prophet came to him because he had gone in to Bathsheba.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u00b61. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your lovingkindness!\u00a0 In the abundance of your compassion, blot out my transgressions!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin,<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. for I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is continually before me.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Against you, against you only, have I sinned and done this evil in your sight, so that you may be vindicated in your words.\u00a0 You are justified in your judgment.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Behold, you delight in truth in the inner parts, and in the secret\u00a0chamber, you make me know wisdom.<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean.\u00a0 Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.<\/span><\/li>\n
    7. Make me to hear joy and gladness,\u00a0and the bones you have crushed will shout for joy!<\/span><\/li>\n
    8. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.<\/span><\/li>\n
    9. Create a clean heart for me, O God, and make within me a new, steadfast spirit!<\/span><\/li>\n
    10. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy Spirit from me!<\/span><\/li>\n
    11. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and you will sustain me\u00a0with\u00a0a willing spirit.<\/span><\/li>\n
    12. I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.<\/span><\/li>\n
    13. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, God of my salvation!\u00a0 My tongue will cry aloud of your righteousness.<\/span><\/li>\n
    14. My Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will make your praise known.<\/span><\/li>\n
    15. Truly, you do not delight in sacrifice; otherwise, I would offer it.\u00a0 Burnt offering does not please you.<\/span><\/li>\n
    16. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.\u00a0 A broken and crushed heart, O God, you will not despise.<\/span><\/li>\n
    17. In your good will, do good to Zion.\u00a0 You will build the walls of Jerusalem.<\/span><\/li>\n
    18. Then, you will delight in sacrifices of righteousness, burnt offering and whole burnt offering.\u00a0 Then will they offer bullocks on your altar.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u201cDavid has gone to Ahimelech\u2019s house.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

      \u00b61. How can you commend yourself with evil, O mighty man?\u00a0 God\u2019s faithfulness never ceases.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharpened razor, working deceit.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. You love evil rather than good,\u00a0and\u00a0falsehood rather than to speak righteousness.\u00a0 Selah.<\/span><\/li>\n
      3. You love every word that devours, O deceitful tongue!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        5.But God will break you down for eternity.\u00a0 He will seize you and tear you out of\u00a0your\u00a0tent, and He will uproot you from the land of the living.\u00a0 Selah.<\/span><\/p>\n

        1. And the righteous will see it, and fear.\u00a0 And they will laugh at him,\u00a0saying,<\/span><\/li>\n
        2. \u201cBehold the man who did not make God his strength, but trusted in the abundance of his riches!\u00a0 He was strengthened by his own will.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
        3. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God.\u00a0 I will trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.<\/span><\/li>\n
        4. I will praise you forever because you did\u00a0it, and I will wait for your Name, for\u00a0he is\u00a0good in the sight of your saints.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \u00b61. O Lord, do not rebuke me in your wrath, nor chasten me in your burning anger,<\/span><\/p>\n

          1. for your arrows have sunk down into me, and your hand has pressed down on me.<\/span><\/li>\n
          2. There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation; there is no peace in my bones because of my sin.<\/span><\/li>\n
          3. For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.<\/span><\/li>\n
          4. My wounds stink; they fester.\u00a0 Because of my foolishness,<\/span><\/li>\n

          9. My heart pounds; my strength, as well as the light of my eyes, has forsaken me.\u00a0 Even they are not with me.<\/span><\/li>\n
          10. My loved ones and friends stand aloof from my affliction, even those nearest to me stand at a distance.<\/span><\/li>\n
          11. Moreover, those who seek my life set traps, and those who desire my hurt speak of\u00a0mydestruction, and plot treachery all the day long.<\/span><\/li>\n
          12. But I, like a deaf man, do not hear, and I am like a mute who does not open his mouth.<\/span><\/li>\n
          13. Yea, I have become like a man that does not hear and in whose mouth are no reproofs.<\/span><\/li>\n
          14. For I am waiting for you, O Lord. \u00a0 You will give answer, my Lord, my God!<\/span><\/li>\n
          15. For I said, \u201cSave me!\u00a0lest they gloat over me when my foot slips; they magnify themselves against me.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
          16. For I am being set up for a fall, and my sorrow is always with me.<\/span><\/li>\n
          17. For I will declare my iniquity; I am afraid because of my sin.<\/span><\/li>\n
          18. My enemies are alive and powerful, and they are many who hate me wrongfully.<\/span><\/li>\n
          19. And they who render evil for good accuse me because I am after good.<\/span><\/li>\n
          20. Do not abandon me, O Jehovah, my God!\u00a0 Be not far from me!<\/span><\/li>\n
