{"id":10175,"date":"2018-04-06T12:20:38","date_gmt":"2018-04-06T12:20:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=10175"},"modified":"2018-04-06T12:20:38","modified_gmt":"2018-04-06T12:20:38","slug":"eternal-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/10175\/eternal-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Eternal Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Pastor John,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Many times you have told us that the promise of God to the faithful, the promise of Eternal Life, does not mean a promise of a life with endless days; it has nothing to do with the length of time in which we shall live. But that Eternal Life is a\u00a0<i>kind\u00a0<\/i>of life, it is a life like God&#8217;s life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I considered today just how obvious that is, when one considers God&#8217;s promise to those who are unfaithful, and to those who refuse the witness of Jesus. He promised them suffering and anguish that will never end.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Though it is true, their torment will last eternally, it is far from the &#8220;eternal life&#8221; that the apostle Paul described to the believers in Corinth, when he declared to them, &#8220;eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Jerry<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">========<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>Hi Jerry.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>The promise of eternal life is the promise of an endless life of perfect peace. \u00a0 It is endless in the sense that \u201ctime shall be no more\u201d.\u00a0 In other words, time will not exist.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>Eternal life is indeed God\u2019s kind of life.\u00a0 It is the holy kind of life that Jesus made possible for us we to live here, in this world.\u00a0 In fact, we must live it here, or we will not be allowed to live it later.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>Pastor John<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pastor John,\u00a0 Many times you have told us that the promise of God to the faithful, the promise of Eternal Life, does not mean a promise of a life with endless days; it has nothing to do with the length of time in which we shall live.
