{"id":10229,"date":"2018-05-30T21:20:32","date_gmt":"2018-05-30T21:20:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=10229"},"modified":"2018-05-30T21:20:32","modified_gmt":"2018-05-30T21:20:32","slug":"why-jews-dont-believe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/10229\/why-jews-dont-believe\/","title":{"rendered":"Why Jews Don&#8217;t Believe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Hey Pastor John,<\/span><span style=\"color:#000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I just watched your video posted on Facebook* on why most Jews don&#8217;t believe that Jesus is the Messiah.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ve ever heard anyone say it out loud like that.\u00a0 I know that you&#8217;ve taught us that that&#8217;s what Jewish people believe, but to hear it from a Rabbi hurt my heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">But it gives me a clearer understanding of why the things we&#8217;re learning about in Revelation\u00a0must happen to the Jews in order to get the Jews to believe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Just to think of that verse from Zechariah, when the Jews will ask Jesus where he got the scars in his hands, and he says, \u201cin the house of my friends\u201d! \u00a0 I just imagined that Rabbi in the video as one of them.\u00a0 The things we are learning are really real.\u00a0 It just sank in more, listening to him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Michelle<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">============<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Oh Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I read Michelle&#8217;s email and watched that video posted about why the Jews don&#8217;t believe Jesus is the Messiah. I felt a defensive feeling as I turned on the video. Almost geared up for the debate but as I watched that video everything changed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I felt such compassion for that Jewish Rabbi. I thought &#8221; what would he say about me. What would he say about one so broken whom Jesus has changed so much?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Would he say something has happened but it is not from the Messiah, like the Pharisees said of the blind man Jesus healed? Would he recognize the power of God that makes me hungry for holiness, hungry for the things of God ?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color:#000000;\">I found myself thinking, &#8221; Oh man of law how can I convince you? &#8220;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">That video left me so humbled for what we know and what we have been given. So thankful Jesus has changed our hearts and touched our eyes. I thought of Paul and how desperately he would have wanted them to believe and to see how Jesus changed him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Mmmmm this is so good and I am so overwhelmed with his love.
