I was curious is there any legitimacy to the comment [“Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus a servant”]<\/span> which was added (e-Sord KJV version only), when verse 19 says Paul is writing with his own hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

A second question, I pondered if Onesimus had not been owned by a Jew (assuming I am right about that) would Paul have sent him back?<\/span><\/p>\n

The only version in e-sord that this comment was added was KJV. I just thought it odd it was added to only one version, I checked 9 versions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nIt is possible that Paul could have personally written just that single verse, and not the entire letter. But as to the validity of that comment about Onesimus writing the letter for Paul, nobody knows, and there is no way to find out.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

As for your second question, it is unknown whether Philemon was a Jew, and I believe that Paul would have sent Onesimus back, regardless of who owned him.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
