{"id":11318,"date":"2020-07-13T22:39:20","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T22:39:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=11318"},"modified":"2020-07-13T22:39:20","modified_gmt":"2020-07-13T22:39:20","slug":"christianity-itself-is-a-lie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/11318\/christianity-itself-is-a-lie\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Christianity Itself Is a Lie!&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The &#8220;Remember this&#8221; statements from the Slander book are so good!\u00a0 This particular one jumped off the page at me:\u00a0\u00a0\u201cFalse doctrine and lifeless ceremonies are slander against the right way of the Lord.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0After reading some of your chapters on slander, I am seeing that true statement more clearly than ever!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I\u2019ve been thinking about institutionalized slander since we talked this morning.\u00a0 I can not think of one thing I was taught growing up in Christianity that was the truth. Not one!\u00a0 I can state with full confidence that Christianity itself is a lie! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">But I had the thought today, \u201cWhat if I had believed those lies?\u00a0 What if I had believed that drinking that wine and eating those wafers was my only way of having communion with Jesus?\u00a0 Or what if I had believed that having some water sprinkled on my head as a baby while my parents repeated some scriptures was the baptism that mattered?\u00a0 What if I never heard about the New Birth?\u00a0 What if I had sat in that dead religion for all these years?\u201d I know without a doubt the answer to those questions.\u00a0 I would be dead.\u00a0 Even if my physical body was alive, I\u2019d be a dead man walking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">But then I felt tears of thankfulness and relief welling up because Jesus didn\u2019t leave me there to die.\u00a0 He showed me the right way!\u00a0 He gave me His life!\u00a0\u00a0Jesus did that for every one of us and He will do it for any sincere heart that cries out to Him! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I love that this book is full of light; exposing the truth about institutionalized slander! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Lee Ann<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pastor John, The &#8220;Remember this&#8221; statements from the Slander book are so good!\u00a0 This particular one jumped off the page at me:\u00a0\u00a0\u201cFalse doctrine and lifeless ceremonies are slander against the right way of the Lord.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0After reading some of your chapters on slander, I am seeing that true statement more clearly than ever!
