I\u2019m so glad that the Lord reigns!\u00a0 That is worth rejoicing about!!\u00a0 Just reading that verse brings relief!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">============<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>Thanks, Lee Ann.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>There is one verse that I misinterpreted this morning.\u00a0 Hosea 5:11 says,<\/em> <em>&#8220;Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, because he was willing to obey the command.&#8221;\u00a0 If that is translated correctly, it means that because some in Ephraim were willing to obey God, they were abused,&#8221; which is exactly the same thing that Isaiah, who lived at the same time, said: &#8220;Truth is missing, and he who turns from evil makes himself a prey&#8221; (Isa. 59:15a).\u00a0 This was happening among God&#8217;s own people, that if someone turned from evil to do the\u00a0will of God, he became a target for persecution at the hands of God&#8217;s own people!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>God help us!\u00a0 Believers who are more devoted to Christianity than they are to Christ do the same thing to those who turn from the evil of false religion to holy life in the Spirit.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0000ff;\"><em>Pastor John<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">* <a style=\"color:#0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/goingtojesus.com\/gtj_translation.html?tname=hosea\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/goingtojesus.com\/gtj_translation.html?tname=hosea<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lee Ann Burkhart wrote: I was just talking to Jesus about what we read this morning: Hosea 5-9*.
