{"id":11397,"date":"2020-09-03T16:11:58","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T16:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=11397"},"modified":"2020-09-03T16:11:58","modified_gmt":"2020-09-03T16:11:58","slug":"11397","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/11397\/11397\/","title":{"rendered":"Matthew 3:3 &#8220;His Paths&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align:justify;\">\n<p>Hi John,<\/p>\n<p>I went walking tonight after the Matthew reading, and I was recounting the time when Jesus reached down from heaven and convicted my heart of sin on that Sunday morning, April 15, 2007.\u00a0 As I was trying to think of the details of what I did in the days after that touch from Jesus, I realized I couldn&#8217;t remember much of what happened in those days.\u00a0 &#8220;But I do remember&#8221;, I was saying to myself as I walked, that &#8220;I began to get my life straight&#8221;, &#8220;I began the process of repenting&#8221;, &#8220;I began to have a desire to learn of Jesus&#8221;, &#8220;I began to make His paths straight&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>I stopped to consider what I had just said.\u00a0 &#8220;I began to make\u00a0<u>His<\/u>\u00a0paths straight.\u00a0 Hey, that&#8217;s what we read tonight.\u00a0 But\u00a0<u>His<\/u>\u00a0paths?\u00a0 Not mine?&#8221;\u00a0 I know that this phrase has to do with repenting and seeking God, but what exactly does it mean to make His paths straight? Is it that by seeking God early and doing works of repentance, we are making it easier for Jesus to get to us?
