{"id":11772,"date":"2020-12-26T00:10:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-26T00:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=11772"},"modified":"2020-12-26T00:10:00","modified_gmt":"2020-12-26T00:10:00","slug":"this-mornings-discussion-on-montanus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/11772\/this-mornings-discussion-on-montanus\/","title":{"rendered":"This Morning&#8217;s Discussion on Montanus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Hi John,<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">I was very blessed this morning listening to files from Betty from this morning&#8217;s talks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">My big blessing came when you were talking about Montanus, and you said that one author had the perfect description of him. \u00a0Something close to: \u00a0&#8220;The spirit of Montanus was not the spirit of the church&#8221;. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Man, that was SO good. \u00a0To walk in the Spirit is to NOT have the spirit of the church (Christianity). \u00a0I believe many of God&#8217;s Spirit filled children feel that way (I hope they do)&#8230; they are &#8220;trying&#8221;, but no matter how hard they try, they just don&#8217;t have the same spirit as the church does. \u00a0Let them see this, Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">That is my testimony&#8230; and I would say the testimony of many of us who did walk in Christianity, at some point in time. \u00a0I NEVER fit in. \u00a0I was let down. I was disappointed or rejected, and I was to the point of almost wondering if there was a real truth out there that could satisfy what I longed for, but Jesus did not let me lose hope and he did not let me stop praying. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">I prayed \u00a0&#8220;if there&#8217;s truth out there, God, help me find it.&#8221; \u00a0 The bottom line is, that the Spirit God gave me was not the spirit of the church. \u00a0But I could not put two and two together. \u00a0It took Jesus, and you, and the saints working, to get truth to me, and to help me find out who I really was, and what spirit I really had. And to love the fact that he HAD given me a different one! \u00a0It was the voice of my shepherd. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">May God do that for others out there, our brothers and sisters who have a different spirit than the one the church has. \u00a0They just need to find out who they are. \u00a0If He can do it for me, he can do it for them. \u00a0I sure to hope some of the materials being sent out get in desperate hands and hears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks for that golden nugget from today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gary<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi John, I was very blessed this morning listening to files from Betty from this morning&#8217;s talks.
