Jerusalem Council book<\/a> <\/span>and it has been wonderful! \u00a0Some days I would read just three or four pages, but I would read it three or four times.<\/p>\nWhat a wealth of information! \u00a0I thought about Samantha’s email to you about water baptism, and how this book would answer just about any question a person could have about doctrinal issues.<\/p>\n
I just love the conversations the Council members had among themselves. \u00a0Real discussions, questions and answers, such as any of us could have had in our journeys in seeking God. \u00a0\u00a0What a treasure trove this book is!<\/p>\n

Hi, Debbie.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\nI hope that young people, especially, will take the time to do what you have done.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\nWhen I was in college, I read all the dialogues that the philosopher Plato wrote, which are conversations, kind of like the conversation in The Jerusalem Council, with Socrates\u2019 ideas in the center of it all, the way Paul\u2019s gospel was the center of the Council. \u00a0I did not hurry through any of Plato\u2019s dialogues. \u00a0And if while reading, I realized that my mind had drifted, I would go back to where I knew I had kept up with the conversation, and start reading again. \u00a0If young people would do with the Jerusalem Council the way I did with Plato\u2019s dialogues, patiently and humbly willing to learn, the truth of Christ which they would take in will make them wise and bless them the rest of their lives.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\nThank you for writing, Debbie. \u00a0I am glad you took the time to absorb that book.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\nPastor John<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
