{"id":12322,"date":"2021-08-27T14:48:00","date_gmt":"2021-08-27T14:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=12322"},"modified":"2021-08-27T14:48:00","modified_gmt":"2021-08-27T14:48:00","slug":"walking-the-dog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/12322\/walking-the-dog\/","title":{"rendered":"Walking the Dog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Good morning Pastor John.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I am looking forward to when we can get back to Mathew studies, but in the meantime God continues to teach.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">While I was walking my dog this morning, God&#8217;s Spirit reminded me of a lesson He had taught me sometime back.\u00a0 My dog can&#8217;t go anywhere but where I want her to go because of the yoke I put on her before we start.\u00a0 She can pull it off with much struggle, but not easily.\u00a0 \u00a0God&#8217;s yoke is easily put down.\u00a0 All you have to do is look to something and start lusting for it, and it will fall off.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">The message He had for me today was on my first thought, that when this happens, I get what I am lusting after.\u00a0 &#8220;Not true!&#8221; was the message this morning.\u00a0 On the contrary, IT GETS ME, and\u00a0<em>that<\/em>\u00a0yoke is burdensome and almost impossible to put off, like my dog&#8217;s.\u00a0 \u00a0In a sense, I become that thing&#8217;s dog on a leash.\u00a0 When I look at it that way, it makes it much easier to turn my head back to God&#8217;s path and keep the light yoke He has upon me.\u00a0 It really sets me free instead of binding me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Have a blessed day,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Mark<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning Pastor John.
