{"id":12538,"date":"2021-12-08T13:53:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-08T13:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=12538"},"modified":"2021-12-08T13:53:00","modified_gmt":"2021-12-08T13:53:00","slug":"preacher-clark-in-his-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/12538\/preacher-clark-in-his-name\/","title":{"rendered":"Preacher Clark: In His Name"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\"> I was looking at the emails where preacher Clark explained that praying &#8220;in Jesus&#8217; name&#8221; doesn&#8217;t mean saying a prayer and ending (or beginning) it with the words, &#8220;in Jesus&#8217; name.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Preacher Clark was telling us that praying in Jesus&#8217; name or doing anything &#8220;in Jesus&#8217; name&#8221; simply means &#8220;by his authority.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">We can&#8217;t pray in Jesus&#8217; name on our own. We can&#8217;t pray by his authority unless it is given to us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">When we pray &#8220;in the name of Jesus,&#8221; or &#8220;come in the name of Jesus,&#8221; or &#8220;go in the name of Jesus,&#8221; we are moving under his authority, and we represent him and his will.
