{"id":12832,"date":"2022-02-25T15:25:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-25T15:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=12832"},"modified":"2022-02-25T15:25:00","modified_gmt":"2022-02-25T15:25:00","slug":"the-law-and-psalm-119","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/12832\/the-law-and-psalm-119\/","title":{"rendered":"The Law and Psalm 119"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Hi Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I am studying the Old Testament* with the Paynes, Nelson&#8217;s and others.\u00a0 This is my first time studying it in a group, so it&#8217;s special to me right now, and I&#8217;m loving the class.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I especially love studying The Law.\u00a0 It was wonderful, though imperfect.\u00a0 But it was part of God&#8217;s overall plan.\u00a0 I love how you showed Jesus, and the faithful of God&#8217;s ppl, loved the Law.\u00a0 They were not insolent about it; they cherished it!\u00a0 Thank you for that; that has gone deep in my heart.\u00a0 I love that they loved the Law.\u00a0 Christianity made my heart despise the law, I think, without my knowing it.\u00a0 But these studies undo that, and I&#8217;m thankful for that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">But most of all, I love how Psalm 119 seems to sum up the law and the love and goodness of God.\u00a0 My heart&#8217;s prayer is Psalm 119.\u00a0 Before Jesus let me come to the truth, Psalm 119 was not in my heart; I couldn&#8217;t feel it at first, I was so numb.\u00a0 But now I feel it and love it, and I cherish that beyond words.\u00a0 Brings tears of thankfulness to my eyes.
