{"id":12948,"date":"2022-04-15T13:55:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-15T13:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=12948"},"modified":"2022-04-15T13:55:00","modified_gmt":"2022-04-15T13:55:00","slug":"the-father-and-the-son-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/12948\/the-father-and-the-son-3\/","title":{"rendered":"The Father and the Son*"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Hello and blessings,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Is the author still around?\u00a0 Have a question, why does he use the word &#8220;created&#8221; in respect to the Son?\u00a0 Because by context it appears author believes Christ is BEGOTTEN, ie PSALM 2:7.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">BEGOTTEN is much different from Created, creating implies design by active use of mind to fabricate, but BEGOTTEN is not that.\u00a0 I see it as a budding off and becoming a separate person and is the reason john 1:18 says begotten <em>Theos<\/em>, and by the way i am NOT a Trinitarian.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I believe Jesus is\u00a0<em>Theos<\/em>\u00a0because His Father who begat him is\u00a0<em>Theos<\/em>, just as my son is man since im man but Jesus said: &#8220;The father is Greater than I&#8221; which fits right in with correct non kjb translation of Philippians 2:6<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Anyway I only skimmed couple minutes of writings here but i don&#8217;t have time to read all. I just wanted succincr short answer what authir believes on Christ and God tge father abd holy spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Myself i think holy spirit is not just some power force of God but Literally the SPIRIT of God since God is spirit and of course spirit is powerful. But i dont holy spirit is not a Separate person from God the Father who is also God Almighty himself ie as the self contradicting trinity claims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Anyway hope someone can reply with summary of authors beliefs since im curious but cant read all. Thanks and Gid bless!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">BC<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#000000;\">=============<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0013a3;\"><em>Greetings, BC.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0013a3;\"><em>Thank you for writing and asking your question.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0013a3;\"><em>The fine distinction between &#8220;created&#8221; and &#8220;begotten&#8221; is an old one which comes from a pagan philosophical mind set.\u00a0 Christians used it from the beginning\u00a0of their Trinitarian religion to get around the simple truth that the Son of God was created.\u00a0 The fact that the Son was created\u00a0does not prevent him from being made God over the universe which he created\u00a0at the command of the Father (cf. Heb 3:4).\u00a0 Nor does it negate the fact that God the Father is God over him (cf. Jn. 20:17).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0013a3;\"><em>The word &#8220;God&#8221; is a simply title, and God the Father has at times granted that title to others when He gave them authority over a place or people.\u00a0 He granted that title to Moses (Ex. 7:1), to the judges and rulers of Israel (Ex. 22:8\u20139, 28), and to angels (Ps. 8:5) in order to signify the authority He had given them.\u00a0 Much more, then, should we expect in the Scriptures to find such verses as this, from Hebrews 1:8\u00a0&#8220;But to the Son [God said], \u201cYour throne, O God, is forever and ever.\u00a0\u00a0The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0013a3;\"><em>Your analogy of your son being a man because you are a man is a perfect picture of what I am teaching.\u00a0 Those who are born of God, as was the Son, are also gods, as Jesus said in John 10:34\u201335.\u00a0 And those who are gods can say, as Jesus did (Jn. 14:28), that God is greater than\u00a0they are,\u00a0even though they are gods.\u00a0 In Philippians 2:6 (the scripture you mentioned), we are told first that the Son of God existed &#8220;in the form of God&#8221; before he came to earth, which is true because the Son was created as &#8220;the exact representation of His being&#8221; (Heb. 1:3).\u00a0 But then, in that same verse, we are told that the Son &#8220;did not consider equality with God as something to be grasped after.&#8221;\u00a0 So, you see, the Son is God, and yet, his God is greater than he is.\u00a0 Likewise, those who are born of God are gods, and yet the Father and the Son are greater than they are.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0013a3;\"><em>Lastly, the Spirit of God is God&#8217;s Spirit.\u00a0 That is all there is to\u00a0it.\u00a0 The Spirit\u00a0is God&#8217;s life, just as your spirit is your life.\u00a0 Without it, you are dead, and without God&#8217;s Spirit, you are dead even if you are still walking around on earth.\u00a0 Jesus said so (Mt. 8:22, et.al.).\u00a0 And Paul suggested as much when he said, &#8220;If any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him&#8221; (Rom. 8:9b).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#0013a3;\"><em>So, the real issue is, BC, do you have the holy Ghost?\u00a0 While I am willing to discuss with you such matters as you brought up in your email, the real issue is whether or not God Himself has borne you witness, that you have truly believed and repented, by baptizing you with His Spirit as He did Cornelius and those in his house (cf.
