This was too much to text so I thought I would email to you.<\/p>\n
I love how Jesus sends us what we need and gives us a clearer\u00a0understanding if we listen closely.\u00a0 The past couple\u00a0of weeks I keep hearing, “trust me.”\u00a0 It’s like a wind blowing in my heart, “trust me.”<\/p>\n
Sometimes, what\u00a0seems to be the easiest commandments, I have found myself asking, “OK, but how do I do that?”\u00a0 Like months ago when Jesus told me to “let go”.\u00a0 Seems like easy instructions. but I had no idea how.\u00a0 Then a few days later, he sent my explanation\u00a0in a “Thought for the Day”*.\u00a0 I’m finding that even the simplest\u00a0of tasks or instructions. I need his guidance and understanding\u00a0 or this carnal mind will mess up or go too far.<\/span><\/p>\n Last night, I watched you teach on Hebrews 12**.\u00a0 In it you were talking about the difference between chastisement and scourging.\u00a0 You said, “scourging is different from being chastised; scourging\u00a0is to the bone.”\u00a0 You taught us the difference between righteous and profane.\u00a0 You said the righteous honor everything that is of God, no matter the circumstances.\u00a0 But the profane hold ungodly things as important as godly things (comparing\u00a0Esau trading his birthright\u00a0for a bowl of food).<\/span><\/p>\n Then you read Hebrews 12:15: “taking care, that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no root of\u00a0bitterness<\/strong>\u00a0springing up causes trouble.”\u00a0 And you asked, “What is the root of bitterness?\u00a0 Unbelief is the root of bitterness.”<\/span><\/p>\n Sometimes I feel\u00a0like I could and have opened that door to bitterness.\u00a0 Not knowing and having so many question marks about my future is\u00a0tough.\u00a0 But listening to you last night felt so good to my heart.\u00a0 It felt like Jesus was saying, “Here’s your answer — to keep that door shut,\u00a0permanently.”\u00a0 There is so much love in that!\u00a0 To say I trust Jesus is just words and easy, but I want my whole heart to trust him, no matter what my circumstances may be.\u00a0 I love his instructions, and I love that he has me in a place to learn.\u00a0 We have so much right at our fingertips!\u00a0 I want to take it all in.<\/span><\/p>\n Love you, Pastor John!<\/p>\n Michelle<\/p>\n And…\u00a0 I love this!<\/p>\n This is how I feel every time Jesus comes to my rescue!\u00a0 It’s like, Okay, you’re through that now; let’s finish running this race together!”<\/span><\/p>\n\n
