{"id":13081,"date":"2022-07-09T17:49:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-09T17:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=13081"},"modified":"2022-07-09T17:49:00","modified_gmt":"2022-07-09T17:49:00","slug":"iron-kingdom-responses-baptism-and-communion-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/13081\/iron-kingdom-responses-baptism-and-communion-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Iron Kingdom Responses &#8211; Baptism and Communion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I had to stop as I was reading the Baptism section in the Iron Kingdom book to write how this makes me feel.\u00a0 I am overwhelmed with a prayer for my Catholic family members to know the truth. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I had a Catholic baptism as an infant.\u00a0 That was supposed to seal the deal that I would go to Heaven when I died. It did not.\u00a0 When I woke up from the coma in 2010, God was in that room and He clearly let me know that He was done playing with me and I was going to Hell if things did not change.\u00a0 That is as clear to me now as it was on that day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">After that experience, I was baptized in a tank in front of the whole Christian church.\u00a0 I wanted so much for it to be real and I wanted to come out of that tank different, better, and clean.\u00a0 I did not.\u00a0 I came out heartbroken because it was not real.\u00a0 I remember the hurt I felt, that it was just another lie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Then when Jesus sent Jerry and you with the truth and I had a flicker of hope again that God was real, Jesus baptized me.\u00a0 Oh, I want them to know His baptism.\u00a0 It is not a ceremony but a real experience that really washes sin away \u2013 every day, not for just a moment.\u00a0 I desperately wanted to be clean, but I could not make myself or my life clean.\u00a0 Only Jesus did that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">I feel like what your father said, that &#8220;getting the holy Ghost is your first day of school&#8221;, went in deeper.\u00a0 I want them to know it&#8217;s not a moment, but a life with a true, clean life with God.
