{"id":14227,"date":"2023-09-19T14:07:43","date_gmt":"2023-09-19T14:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pjhmail.wordpress.com\/?p=14227"},"modified":"2023-09-19T14:07:43","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T14:07:43","slug":"gods-came-first-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/14227\/gods-came-first-2\/","title":{"rendered":"God&#8217;s Came First"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Good morning!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">I am reading in 2Kings this morning.\u00a0and\u00a0I\u00a0have to stop to soak in how amazing God is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">2Kings 6<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify\" start=\"17\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">And Elisha prayed and said, \u201cO Jehovah, I ask you, open his eyes and let him see.\u201d And Jehovah opened the young man\u2019s eyes and he saw, and behold, the mountain was filled with horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">I have always loved this.\u00a0\u00a0This morning as I read it,\u00a0though,\u00a0I was struck by the fact man did not design chariots pulled by horses.\u00a0\u00a0God gave man that design.\u00a0\u00a0There are heavenly chariots.\u00a0\u00a0A heavenly army!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">I have enjoyed reading about Elijah and Elisha so much that it is hard to put down.\u00a0\u00a0Between the\u00a0kings, the\u00a0prophets and Job, my cup runneth over!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">But then,\u00a0God designed cups,\u00a0too!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Psa.\u00a016:5:\u00a0The Lord is the portion of my inheritance, and my\u00a0cup.\u00a0\u00a0You secure my lot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Psa. 23:5\u00a0You prepare a table before me in the sight of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My\u00a0cup\u00a0is overflowing!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Psa. 73:10\u00a0Therefore, His people turn away after them, and waters of a full\u00a0cup\u00a0are wrung out to them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Psa. 75:8\u00a0For in the hand of the Lord is a\u00a0cup\u00a0with wine that has foamed and is fully mixed.
