Good morning, Pastor John.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am confused.\u00a0 I know that when Jesus was on the cross, he asked God to “forgive them for they know not what they do.”\u00a0 But in Psalm 69:28, concerning those in Israel who would reject and abuse him when he came, the Son of God prayed, \u201cLet them be blotted out of the Book of Life and not be written among the righteous!\u201d (Ps. 69:28).\u00a0 How is he asking to forgive and not to forgive?\u00a0 Is there a group to forgive and a different group to not?\u00a0 None of them asked to be forgiven.\u00a0 How does this apply to us?\u00a0 Do we need to differentiate who to forgive even when they don’t ask forgiveness?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When I was starting out in the Lord, I decided that as I read through the Bible, I would keep a list of any contradictions I found along the way.\u00a0 In a short time, however, the list grew\u00a0so long that I\u00a0had to\u00a0quit.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Son of God said both those things,\u00a0one\u00a0through David in Psalms and\u00a0one from\u00a0the cross.\u00a0 There are those whom the Son has asked God to curse and others whom he has asked God to bless, and I am sure that God answered both those prayers.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

That is why Jesus told his disciples to rejoice that their names were written in heaven.\u00a0\u00a0It didn’t have to be that way.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Also,\u00a0nobody knows whose name is in God’s Book.\u00a0 Therefore, be kind to everyone; you may be talking to a lost sheep of God.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
