It didn&#8217;t sit well with me. Right or wrong, I felt like it supported the Trinity doctrine. This morning, it was still on my mind, so I decided to look at our translation, and it read differently. I looked up the Greek, and it matched our translation:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">KJV 7. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">KJV 8. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PJV 7. For there are three that bear witness,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PJV 8. the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three agree.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"7\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u1f4d\u03c4\u03b9 \u03c4\u03c1\u03b5\u1fd6\u03c2 \u03b5\u1f30\u03c3\u1f76\u03bd \u03bf\u1f31 \u03bc\u03b1\u03c1\u03c4\u03c5\u03c1\u03bf\u1fe6\u03bd\u03c4\u03b5\u03c2,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u03c4\u1f78 \u03c0\u03bd\u03b5\u1fe6\u03bc\u03b1, \u03ba\u03b1\u1f76 \u03c4\u1f78 \u1f55\u03b4\u03c9\u03c1, \u03ba\u03b1\u1f76 \u03c4\u1f78 \u03b1\u1f37\u03bc\u03b1\u0387 \u03ba\u03b1\u1f76 \u03bf\u1f31 \u03c4\u03c1\u03b5\u1fd6\u03c2 \u03b5\u1f30\u03c2 \u03c4\u1f78 \u1f15\u03bd \u03b5\u1f30\u03c3\u03b9\u03bd.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">So, my questions are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In your research, have you been clued in on who or when this\u00a0&#8220;comma&#8221;was added?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Is the comma truly &#8220;added&#8221; and if so, was it to support the trinity and\/or any other Christian doctrine?\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Were any other apostles &#8220;given&#8221; a comma that was added to the NT?\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And what exactly does John mean by the water and blood?<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thank you,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Johnny<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">==========<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Hi Johnny,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>The parts of those verses which we did not translate were added by Trinitarian Christians long after John wrote this letter. There is no question about that.\u00a0 To my knowledge, there is no place quite like it in the New Testament.\u00a0 There are a few intentional mistranslations in the\u00a0KJV designed to promote the religion\u00a0of the\u00a0translators, but I know of no other such blatant\u00a0corruption of the\u00a0text.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>As for verse 8, the best I can figure is this:\u00a0 We know that the Spirit is the Father&#8217;s witness of His Son&#8217;s resurrection and glorification (1Jn. 5:6b).\u00a0 But the Spirit does not testify alone.\u00a0 That testimony is made through human vessels, which come through a birth by water (our first birth) and a second birth by the blood of Christ (the Spirit).\u00a0 John said that Jesus himself &#8220;came through water and blood \u2013\u00a0 not by water only, but by water and blood&#8221;.\u00a0 Jesus was born naturally, and he was born again when the Spirit came upon him after his baptism by John the Baptist.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>If John is not saying that, I do not know what he is talking about with such phrases.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Pastor John<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>P.S.
