{"id":14678,"date":"2024-04-25T12:58:14","date_gmt":"2024-04-25T17:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=14678"},"modified":"2024-04-28T13:00:08","modified_gmt":"2024-04-28T18:00:08","slug":"last-night-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/14678\/last-night-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Last Night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good morning!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I was thinking about last night and how sweet and encouraging it was.\u00a0 Once again, I love the connections that can be made to my own children and how I talk to them or treat them.\u00a0 Steven and I have spoken before about mistakes our children make, and we agree that we don&#8217;t ever want them to feel so bad about a mistake that they can&#8217;t come to us.\u00a0 I want them to feel safe and loved enough that they aren&#8217;t afraid to make a mistake.\u00a0 In other words, if something big happens, they will know that we are here to help\/fix\/comfort\/correct&#8230;they can come to us.\u00a0 When you overreact or are unapproachable, it deters someone from feeling safe enough to seek help.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure if that all makes sense on paper, but as you were talking last night, the feelings were similar as if it were on God&#8217;s end with us. \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Also, concerning your testimony, I love that there&#8217;s a difference between being ready for something good to happen&#8230;when it happens, and being ready\/happy right now because something good COULD happen.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the belief that He can do anything&#8230;and will if He wants!\u00a0 It takes out the, &#8220;Oh, I wish He would&#8230;&#8221; or &#8220;I hope one day&#8230;&#8221;, and replaces it with, &#8220;Isn&#8217;t it wonderful that God can fix that right now!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Occasionally during these types of meetings, I imagine myself gone and these words are being spoken with me in mind.\u00a0 &#8220;This is really how people would talk about me?&#8221;\u00a0 There is so much love for someone fallen away.\u00a0 Hurt, but so much love and care for their future.\u00a0 I think, &#8220;Man, if you only knew how we feel&#8230;&#8221;\u00a0 It touches my heart so deeply to know that we are a body of people who really do care for one another!\u00a0 What a special place to be!\u00a0 A very safe place to come back to in time of trouble.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thank you for last night. \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Leah<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Good morning!
