{"id":14899,"date":"2024-07-23T09:04:45","date_gmt":"2024-07-23T14:04:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=14899"},"modified":"2024-07-24T09:10:52","modified_gmt":"2024-07-24T14:10:52","slug":"being-a-help-meet-for-a-husband","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/14899\/being-a-help-meet-for-a-husband\/","title":{"rendered":"Being a &#8220;Help Meet&#8221; for a Husband"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good morning Pastor John.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I have been talking to Jesus and\u00a0&#8220;digging my hole&#8221; for him to plant truth in.\u00a0\u00a0My new prayer is,\u00a0&#8220;Help me be a help,\u00a0meet\u00a0for my husband.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0I found a few things interesting during the dig:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">God told Adam not to eat of the tree of life\u00a0before He\u00a0created\u00a0Eve.\u00a0\u00a0I didn&#8217;t know that.\u00a0\u00a0Somewhere in my mind, I pictured God gathering them together and laying out the rules.\u00a0\u00a0That is verse 16 &amp;17 of Gen chapter 2.\u00a0\u00a0Then immediately after\u00a0that,\u00a0God says it is not good for man to be alone and the next 7 verses are God creating a help meet for Adam.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Eve was\u00a0created\u00a0after there was not a help\u00a0meet\u00a0for Adam\u00a0found among the animals\u00a0(Gen.\u00a02:20).\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I tried to look up the Hebrew word and meaning of\u00a0&#8220;help\u00a0meet&#8221;\u00a0and found\u00a0ezer kenegdo.\u00a0\u00a0Over and over,\u00a0I found that\u00a0dictionaries\u00a0tried to turn that meaning into something more of &#8220;I am woman!\u00a0Hear me roar,&#8221; which is not what God says in<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Genesis\u00a03:16.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When it is all said and done,\u00a0I know in my heart what a\u00a0&#8220;help\u00a0meet&#8221;\u00a0is.\u00a0\u00a0Not saying I am great at it because I think there is a tendency\u00a0in women\u00a0to be a\u00a0&#8220;help-mat&#8221;\u00a0more than a\u00a0&#8220;help-meet&#8221;.\u00a0\u00a0It all comes back to the perfect order of God.\u00a0\u00a0If every heart is in its place, then God&#8217;s perfect and wise design\u00a0naturally occurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">That is the part I love the most.\u00a0\u00a0God really has everything set up so\u00a0that\u00a0even \u201cfools shall not err.\u201d\u00a0It is all perfectly designed for success\u00a0&#8212;\u00a0if we just live in our places.\u00a0\u00a0There is a lot of love in that!\u00a0\u00a0A lot of love in knowing God wants us to succeed so much that He designed everything so we can.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">God is rooting for us!
