Good morning, Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

I had never considered the idea that Satan might not be \u201canti-God\u201d until we started reading the Father and Son book.\u00a0\u00a0I had always assumed he was.\u00a0\u00a0Even though, in the scriptures, he obeyed better than I ever could have.<\/span><\/p>\n

==========<\/span><\/p>\n

The Satan that Christians have invented is against anything that is God, but the real<\/strong> Satan is not like that.\u00a0\u00a0After all, he wanted to reign\u00a0<\/span>with\u00a0God, not instead of Him.\u00a0\u00a0He admired the order and majesty of God\u2019s heavenly kingdom, and he wanted to share in the glory of it.<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Growing up, we mostly heard about the anti-Christ, and that it was a person who was Satan’s mockery or version of Jesus.\u00a0\u00a0It makes me wonder how Trinitarian or Oneness doctrines would respond to the idea that Satan isn’t anti-God but only anti-Christ.\u00a0\u00a0To really wrap your head around that\u2014wow!<\/span><\/p>\n

Satan is really anti-God, but doesn’t realize it, right?\u00a0\u00a0In the same way the Pharisees unknowingly rejected the Father by rejecting the Son.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, that is correct.\u00a0\u00a0His heart is contrary to everything that is truly holy and pure, but he does not think so because although he thinks he knows God, he does not know God\u00a0as God really is<\/strong>.\u00a0 The same is true of people on earth\u00a0who are like Satan.\u00a0 They think they know God, but they do not know Him as He really is.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

==========<\/span><\/p>\n

Regarding Satan being “instead of” Christ, do you think any of it is personal for Satan? Does he have a personal vendetta against the Messiah?<\/span><\/p>\n

==========<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, yes.\u00a0\u00a0Satan hates Jesus with a passion because, as Satan sees it, Jesus took the place that Satan was supposed to have at God\u2019s right hand.\u00a0 And he hates Jesus so much that he hates anyone who honors\u00a0Jesus as they\u00a0honor God.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\nIs Satan aware of what the Son did for us, and does he hate it?<\/span><\/p>\n

Satan is certainly aware of what believers say that Jesus did for us, but he does not believe it.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

He hates everyone who has God\u2019s Spirit because he thinks their\u00a0testimony\u00a0is a lie and that they are deluded.\u00a0 His ministers, by the way, say the same sort of things about those whom Jesus baptizes\u00a0with the holy Ghost, condemning\u00a0their joy and their speaking in tongues.\u00a0\u00a0Stay away from such men, and refuse their churches.\u00a0 They are whitewashed walls that offer men a false hope.\u00a0 They can save\u00a0no one.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
