Hi John,<\/span><\/p>\n

I have a question that has come to mind several times.\u00a0 In 2Peter 3:9, Peter tells us, “The\u00a0Lord of the promise is not slow, as some think of slowness, but waits patiently for us, not wanting any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.”\u00a0 Do you think that all those years that God was patience in heaven with the sin that was in heaven that He may have been giving Satan and other creatures time to repent?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I don’t think so,\u00a0Randell.\u00a0\u00a0I believe that\u00a0scripture\u00a0from Peter\u00a0applies only to humans.\u00a0 Satan and his angels had seen the face of God and had been in His\u00a0very\u00a0presence\u00a0many times,\u00a0and probably\u00a0were condemned eternally the moment they sinned.\u00a0 As Jesus said, “To whom much is given, much shall be required.”\u00a0 Much had been gven to them, and what was required of them, they failed to render to God.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

A good example of this is Moses.\u00a0 God would not allow him to\u00a0lead\u00a0Israel into the promised land of Canaan\u00a0just\u00a0because Moses struck a rock when God had told him just to speak to it\u00a0(Num. 20:1\u201313).\u00a0 That seems like a heavy price to pay for what would normally be a minor offense, but much had been given to Moses, and so, much obedience was required of him.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

That is how I see it.\u00a0 What do you think?<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
