Good morning Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin and I were listening to a tract on Marriage and Divorce (Going to Jesus.com Tracts – Marriage and Divorce<\/a><\/span>).\u00a0 We talked about how the holy Ghost is needed in order to be equally yoked.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He had a question that I wasn\u2019t sure how to answer from\u00a01Corinthians 7:14\u00a0below:\u00a0 What makes the children unclean? \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe [pleased-to-dwell-with] unbelieving husband is sanctified by the [believing] wife, and the [pleased-to-dwell-with] unbelieving wife is sanctified by the [believing] husband; otherwise, your children are unclean<\/em>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Is the answer the unbeliever?<\/span><\/p>\n

I don’t know why Paul used that word in reference to children.\u00a0 It may be that\u00a0he knew\u00a0the relationship between a believer and a non-believer which produced the child was not in the will of God.\u00a0 Other than that, I can’t think of a reason Paul would have\u00a0made that statement.\u00a0 After all, Jesus spoke well of little children, even telling his disciples that unless they became as little children, they would never see the kingdom of God (Mt. 18:1\u20133).<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Sorry, but that’s the best I can do with that question.\u00a0 Maybe someone who reads this can provide a better answer.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
