{"id":15344,"date":"2025-01-28T13:47:10","date_gmt":"2025-01-28T18:47:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=15344"},"modified":"2025-01-28T13:52:17","modified_gmt":"2025-01-28T18:52:17","slug":"what-does-the-bible-say-about-being-whole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/15344\/what-does-the-bible-say-about-being-whole\/","title":{"rendered":"What does the Bible say about being &#8220;whole&#8221;?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Good Morning, Pastor John.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I have been up reading and talking to Jesus and felt to look up everything Jesus says about being whole. In my mind I had a different prayer and reason to look that up, but something else hit my heart.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If we, who have been given a new heart from God, with His laws written on it, and have God&#8217;s own spirit inside of us and guiding us, have any division or lack of blood flow among us and cannot come together as a whole body to praise God, than what did God sacrifice His son for?\u00a0 It is like God breaking the Israelite Egyptian chains and parting the sea for them, only to have them wanting to turn back to Egypt.\u00a0 If they who saw how very real God is didn&#8217;t want Him, then what was the point?\u00a0 It is a terrifying thought.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If we cannot praise God as a whole functioning body after being given the holiest and most precious gift He has to give, then what was the point?\u00a0 It is terrifying to think God may feel that way, even for a second.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I feel like I understand that scripture about not leaving a gift on the altar if you have anything in your heart against your brother.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How can we, who have His most holy gift come before Him with any strife or division?\u00a0 I feel like that would make God feel like we can&#8217;t even get it right with His kind of life in us.\u00a0 And if we can&#8217;t get it right with being fed the purest food and an having an anointed man of God leading us, than how could we possibly think starving children of God can get it right?\u00a0 What would starving children of God see in the well-fed children?\u00a0 I pray they see grateful and humble hearts in us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">These thoughts did two things in my heart today.\u00a0 They made me want to not have one petty, fleshly feeling, just a fully functioning\u00a0 heart shining up at God.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And two, I don&#8217;t want any other one of God&#8217;s hearts to get damaged.\u00a0 I want God to look down on every one of the hearts that He gave His holiest gift to, and see bright, shining hearts.\u00a0 Thankful, grateful WHOLE hearts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When we are in that meeting room praising God, I want Him to see the WHOLE room lit up!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I don&#8217;t think I have ever seen that word whole as I do now.\u00a0 Whole is all of Us.\u00a0 It makes these scriptures different to me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Psalm 9:1 &#8220;I will praise Jehovah with my whole heart! I will tell of all your wonderful works!&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Psalm 119:2 &#8220;Blessed are they who keep His testimonies; they seek Him with the whole heart.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Psalm 119:34 &#8220;Give me understanding, that I might keep your law, and I will observe it with my whole heart.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Psalm 119:145 &#8220;I cried out with my whole heart. Answer me, O Lord! I will keep your statutes.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Jeremiah 29:13 &#8220;And you will seek me and find me, when you seek me with your whole heart.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1Corinthians 12:17 &#8220;If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ephesians 2:21 &#8220;In whom the whole building, being fit together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ephesians 4:16 &#8220;From whom the whole body, fitted together and held together by the support of every ligament according to the work meted out to each individual member, produces the growth of the body for edification of itself in love.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Colossians 3:23 &#8220;And whatever you do, work at it whole-heartedly, as to the Lord and not to men,&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1Thessalonians 5:23 &#8220;And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Luke 11:36 &#8220;If your whole body is full of light, not having any part darkened, it will be completely illuminated, as when a lamp gives you light with its brightness.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Matthew 6:22 &#8220;The lamp of the body is the eye.
