Hey Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

As I was getting ready for bed, I asked Jesus to give me something to read.\u00a0\u00a0I wanted to hear from Jesus.\u00a0 Peter came to my mind, so I read him.\u00a0 This is so good that I wanted to share.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1Peter 1:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ.\u00a0\u00a0To the chosen sojourners of the Diaspora in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, even the sprinkling of blood, for obedience to Jesus Christ: Grace to\u00a0y<\/em>ou, and peace be multiplied.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in His abundant mercy has begotten us anew into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. for an incorruptible, and pure, and permanent inheritance reserved in heaven for\u00a0y<\/em>ou<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. who are kept by the power of God through faith for the salvation prepared, to be revealed in the last time.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. In this\u00a0y<\/em>ou rejoice, though now for a season, if need be,\u00a0y<\/em>ou are distressed by various trials<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. so that the trying of\u00a0y<\/em>our faith, much more precious than\u00a0the trying <\/em>of gold that perishes, though it be tried by fire, may be found worthy of praise, and honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. (whom having not seen,\u00a0y<\/em>ou love, and in whom, though not seeing him now,\u00a0y<\/em>ou believe, and\u00a0y<\/em>ou rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory),<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. receiving the end of\u00a0y<\/em>our faith, the salvation of\u00a0your<\/em>souls.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Prophets who prophesied of the grace that has come to\u00a0y<\/em>ou searched for and diligently inquired about this salvation,<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. trying to determine who or what time the Spirit of Christ which was in them was indicating when it testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and of the glory that followed.<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. To them it was revealed that they were ministering those things not to themselves, but to\u00a0y<\/em>ou, which things are now reported to y<\/em>ou by those who preach the gospel to\u00a0y<\/em>ou by the holy Spirit sent from heaven, into which things angels long to look.<\/span><\/li>\n
  13. Wherefore, girding up the loins of\u00a0y<\/em>our mind, being sober-minded, set\u00a0y<\/em>our hope fully on the grace to be brought to\u00a0y<\/em>ou at the revelation of Jesus Christ,<\/span><\/li>\n
  14. as obedient children, not conforming\u00a0y<\/em>ourselves to desires, as in\u00a0y<\/em>our former ignorance,<\/span><\/li>\n
  15. but rather, as He who called\u00a0y<\/em>ou is holy, so be holy in all\u00a0your <\/em>ways,<\/span><\/li>\n
  16. for it is written, \u201cBe holy, for I am holy.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
  17. And if\u00a0y<\/em>ou call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each one\u2019s work, live out the time of your sojourning with fear,<\/span><\/li>\n
  18. knowing that\u00a0y<\/em>ou were not redeemed from\u00a0y<\/em>our worthless way of life, received by tradition from\u00a0y<\/em>our fathers, with corruptible things\u00a0such as <\/em>silver or gold,<\/span><\/li>\n
  19. but with the precious blood of Christ, as of an unblemished and spotless lamb,<\/span><\/li>\n
  20. known indeed before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the end times for\u00a0y<\/em>our sakes,<\/span><\/li>\n
  21. who through him have faith in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory so that\u00a0y<\/em>our faith and hope might be in God.<\/span><\/li>\n
  22. With\u00a0y<\/em>our souls purified by obedience to the truth through the Spirit unto a sincere love of the brothers, love one another fervently with a pure heart,<\/span><\/li>\n
  23. being born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the living and eternally enduring word of God.<\/span><\/li>\n
  24. For, \u201cAll flesh is like grass, and all the glory of man is like a flower of grass.\u00a0\u00a0The grass withers, and its flower falls,<\/span><\/li>\n
  25. but the word of the Lord abides forever.\u201d \u00a0And this is the word that is preached to\u00a0y<\/em>ou.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
