Hi, John.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lee Ann\u2019s testimony confirmed for me what the Spirit told me about being carried away with activities that take time spent away from learning of and speaking to Him and the Father.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve spent last night and today, after fellowship with Melissa, Gayle, Randell and Doris and Brad, reading Romans and digging deeper into understanding words that \u201cI think\u201d I know what they mean, but know in my heart that I may not really know.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once such word is justified\/justification.\u00a0\u00a0I found the definition in my Strongs Concordance and then searched to see where it was used other than Romans.<\/span><\/p>\n

My question regards Matthew 11:19:\u00a0\u201cBut wisdom is justified by her children.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

My question is this:\u00a0Am I right in thinking that this sentence could be written \u201cWisdom (Jesus) is declared acceptable to God by His children\u201d?\u00a0\u00a0Not sure because the pronoun used is\u00a0her.<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s an interesting question.\u00a0\u00a0I don\u2019t know that is what Jesus meant by his statement, but what you said is true; Jesus is justified by God\u2019s children.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

As for the feminine pronoun, that is because the word \u201cwisdom\u201d is a feminine word in Greek.\u00a0\u00a0The same is true in the Hebrew language; \u201cwisdom\u201d is a feminine word.\u00a0\u00a0And yet, in Proverbs 8, the Son of God calls himself \u201cwisdom\u201d, even though it is a feminine word.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

So, yes, as to your question, it is possible that \u201cwisdom\u201d in that verse\u00a0could\u00a0refer to the Son, but I think that Jesus was speaking about wise children of God justifying God\u2019s wisdom by the way they live.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
