Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

The sections you deleted from the Iron Kingdom book, but sent out for us to read are gems!\u00a0 I hope you’ll use them somewhere, even if it\u2019s not in the IK book.\u00a0 Several things stood out and touched me when I read them:<\/span><\/p>\n

1) \u00a0“God\u2019s Spirit is the law of His kingdom, and to quench the Spirit in order to perform ceremonies is\u00a0lawlessness\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That is so true!\u00a0 I love that the Spirit is the law which governs what we do and say and feel!\u00a0 To shut that down in order to perform some ceremony or ritual absolutely goes against that law!\u00a0 It really is lawlessness!\u00a0 I even looked up the definition for lawlessness and this is what I read: “a state of disorder due to a\u00a0disregard<\/a><\/u>\u00a0of the law.”\u00a0 Ceremonies disregard the Law that is already operating inside of us! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You gave us a real-life example of that yesterday morning by the fire when the\u00a0Spirit was falling so strong and you told us something like, \u201cNow, what if I\u00a0were\u00a0to interrupt what we\u00a0are feeling to pass out a little wafer and some grape juice?\u201d\u00a0 Can you imagine?!\u00a0 It also reminds me of Jim G\u2019s testimony about the pastor at the church where he used to go.\u00a0 The\u00a0Spirit was falling and he quickly shut it down by standing up and telling his congregation to open their hymnbooks to a certain page\u00a0because it was time to\u00a0sing another\u00a0song.\u00a0 That was lawlessness, and it was the final straw for Jim G.\u00a0 He never went back to that church.\u00a0 In fact, he came out of that whole abomination called Christianity!\u00a0 Amen!\u00a0 We all did!<\/span><\/p>\n

2) \u00a0“Though false prophets and teachers are skilled at appearing righteous, God has never allowed a single faithful child of His to be blinded by them. Jesus assured us that it is impossible for deceivers to lure God\u2019s faithful children from the truth\u00a0(Mt. 24:24).\u00a0\u00a0Only unfaithful believers are taken in by those who falsely claim to be ministers of Christ\u00a0while burying the truth beneath mounds of false teachings.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am so glad Jesus has touched our hearts to believe the truth!\u00a0 We have seen examples of unfaithful believers who turned away from the truth and were taken in by those false teachers, but it\u2019s comforting to know that if we remain faithful, Jesus will\u00a0never\u00a0let us be deceived! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3). This whole paragraph: \u00a0“About half a century before Christ, the Roman senator Cicero spoke of an invisible law which\u00a0transcends all things human, an inescapable law established by God which governs the conscience even\u00a0of those who are ignorant of its existence. He described this law as\u00a0‘an eternal and unchangeable law,\u00a0valid for all nations and all times, [with] one ruler and master, that is, God, over us all, for He is the\u00a0author of this law, its promulgator, and its enforcing judge.’\u00a0\u00a0Such a law, which Cicero sensed but did\u00a0not possess, does exist, and it was revealed to the apostle Paul by the God whose law it is.\u00a0\u00a0That eternal,\u00a0inescapable law is \u201cthe law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus\u201d (Rom. 8:2a), and it is every bit as all-encompassing as Cicero imagined, though of the God who gives it, Cicero knew nothing.”<\/span><\/p>\n

It amazed me that Cicero could sense such a law that is established by God and governs the conscience and transcends all things human, etc., but not be more interested in the Author of that law.\u00a0 And then a man like Paul comes along who more than \u201csensed\u201d that law.\u00a0 He\u00a0understood it, and\u00a0loved it,\u00a0and clung to it like a dog to a bone!\u00a0 My very favorite line was the last line you wrote about that: \u00a0“The law of God\u2019s Spirit is actually greater than Cicero imagined, and it frustrated Paul to no end that he could not convince his converts of its glory.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0The spirit inside me leapt when I read that sentence and I prayed,\u00a0\u201cLet me be thoroughly convinced of the glory of your law, Jesus!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4) \u00a0“The apostles were fully persuaded that\u00a0‘God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above\u00a0that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

(1Cor, 10:13).\u00a0\u00a0Paul famously told the saints in Rome,\u00a0‘We know that for those who love God, all things\u00a0work together for good, for those who are the called according to His purpose’\u00a0(Rom. 8:28).\u00a0\u00a0In hearts that share\u00a0in the\u00a0faith\u00a0of\u00a0Paul, that whatever happens is designed by God to work for His children\u2019s\u00a0good, bitterness can find no place.\u00a0\u00a0And when such souls are persecuted, they respond as Paul did, with their testimonies, by which they overcome the world (cf. Rev.\u00a012:11).\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I hadn\u2019t thought about us responding to persecution with our testimonies, but that\u2019s really how it goes.\u00a0 Our testimonies are so valuable, maybe the most valuable tool in our arsenal.\u00a0 I have this mental image of us \u201cfighting\u201d our way through this world with our testimony swords!\u00a0 They don\u2019t look like real swords, but they are so much more powerful!<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, I\u2019m glad you let us read these deletions before you completely deleted them!\u00a0 We are so rich that even the deletions are more food than most of God\u2019s children will ever receive!\u00a0 That\u2019s humbling just to write that. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
