Hoping in God\u2019s Mercy<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

John,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWith God, anything can change! Put your hope in God!\u201d What a wonderful, encouraging line! Reminds me of Barbara saying that He is a good, good God!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When I opened my phone\u00a0this morning, I was so surprised to see the word \u201cmercy \u201c because the Lord put it on my heart to do a Bible study on the word \u201ctender.\u201d Several times\u00a0on Wednesday night, in the lyrics of the songs was the word tender, and it stood out to me. I wanted to see where that word appeared in the Bible, so last night I started to look it up. All through Psalms, David talks about God\u2019s tender mercies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 25:6 Remember your\u00a0tender mercies<\/strong>, O Lord, and your lovingkindnesses, for they have been from eternity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 79:8 Do not hold past iniquities against us! Let your\u00a0tender mercies<\/strong>\u00a0come to us quickly, for we have been brought very low.<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 103:4 He redeems your life from destruction; He surrounds you with lovingkindness and\u00a0tender mercies<\/strong>;<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all, and His\u00a0tender mercies<\/strong>\u00a0are over all His works.<\/span><\/p>\n

And in Lamentations\u00a03:21-23:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. This thing will I bring to mind; because of this, I have hope:<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. the\u00a0tender mercies <\/strong>of Jehovah. Yea, we are not consumed because His compassions do not fail;<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. they are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The definition for tender was soft, gentle, easily moved to sympathy or compassion, kind, affectionate, loving, sentimental, caring, supportive.<\/span><\/p>\n

    After this Bible study, I felt like I was getting to know my God better- just like you encouraged us to do!\u00a0\u00a0After Wednesday night, it was a desire in my heart to take in your message, but I wasn\u2019t sure what to do. We don\u2019t need to do anything except what the Spirit leads us to do!<\/span><\/p>\n

    But more than anything, I thank God for His tender mercies and for this encouragement from you to hope in God\u2019s mercy and respond with obedience! Amen!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
