Hey Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been reading in Psalms today and have a question.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Psalms 25:14 (King James Version) it says, \u201cThe secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him, and He will shew them His covenant.\u201d\u00a0 In your translation it says: \u201cThe secret of the Lord belongs to those who fear Him, and He will reveal His covenant to them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Do we know what David is referring to when he talks about \u201cthe secret of the Lord\u201d?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

P.S. I like your translation because it makes that secret (whatever it is) more personal because it\u00a0belongs<\/em>\u00a0to those who fear him.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this covenant, we are very blessed to know what the Spirit was talking about when it spoke of God\u2019s secret because the Son has now been revealed.\u00a0\u00a0Before then, the Son was God\u2019s secret, as Paul said:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Colossians 1<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

  1. I was made a minister by the commission of God, which was given to me for\u00a0you, to fulfill the word of God,<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. the mystery that was hidden from the Aeons and from generations <\/em>of men, but now is revealed to His saints,<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
  3. by whom God has willed to make known among the Gentiles what is the richness of the glory of this mystery,\u00a0which is Christ<\/strong>in\u00a0you, the hope of glory,<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Colossians 2<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

      Colossians 4<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

      1. at the same time praying also for us, that God will open to us a door for the word, to speak\u00a0the mystery of Christ<\/strong>(for which also I am put in bonds),<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        In Christ, the mystery of God, there are a number of other mysteries which are mentioned in other places, but the main mystery was Christ himself.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

        Of course, David did not know what the Spirit was talking about when it spoke through him of the secret of God.\u00a0 In fact, none of the prophets understood what the Spirit said through them when it spoke of the hidden Son of God:<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

        1Peter 1<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

        1. Prophets who prophesied of the grace that has come to\u00a0you searched for and diligently inquired about this salvation,<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
        2. trying to determine who or what time the Spirit of Christ which was in them was indicating when it testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and of the glory that followed.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n
        3. To them it was revealed that they were ministering those things not to themselves, but to\u00a0you, which things are now reported to you by those who preach the gospel to\u00a0you by the holy Spirit sent from heaven, into which things angels long to look.<\/em><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
