{"id":15750,"date":"2025-05-20T19:06:37","date_gmt":"2025-05-21T00:06:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/?p=15750"},"modified":"2025-05-21T19:10:31","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T00:10:31","slug":"malachi-sermon-thoughts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastorjohnshouse.com\/mailbag\/15750\/malachi-sermon-thoughts\/","title":{"rendered":"Malachi sermon thoughts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hi Pastor John,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I\u2019m reading the emails and catching up on the Malachi sermon (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rbV8wEqBZ3Y\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Malachi 1:1-11 (Part 1 v.1-6)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I think some of this was already said, but\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It really hit me in this sermon how much Jesus loved his disciplines.\u00a0\u00a0To have people who sincerely loved and followed him as much as they could under the law of Moses.\u00a0\u00a0They truly had no idea what he was saying about\u2026<em>anything<\/em>\u2026the way we can with the Spirit.\u00a0\u00a0And he kept telling them that there was going to be more.\u00a0\u00a0They couldn\u2019t comprehend that; they believed him, but they couldn\u2019t have a connection with God without the Spirit like Jesus had.\u00a0\u00a0Jesus knew this and loved them so much for believing in God through him.\u00a0\u00a0What sincerity they had!\u00a0\u00a0Because they believed Jesus, they were rewarded at Pentecost. To have the opportunity to believe in Jesus without the Spirit and follow him, what a testimony, which could have only occurred once in this earth\u2019s existence.\u00a0\u00a0God did something very special for Jesus\u2019 followers.\u00a0\u00a0The law couldn\u2019t give the reward of knowledge and understanding like the Spirit does.\u00a0\u00a0What a reward they received on the day of Pentecost!\u00a0\u00a0Everything Jesus said and the knowledge therein was revealed.\u00a0\u00a0In that moment, they had the anointing that Jesus had passed on for them to use before, but actively with them forever.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s like before Jesus sacrifice was accepted, they had gotten a trial run with him, then God gave them the family sized portion, haha. That is so sweet to me!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Then, to think about how many people cannot receive what God is saying now, but they believe God and have the Spirit.\u00a0\u00a0He is really patiently waiting for us to catch up if we\u2019re not getting it.
