Good morning, John,<\/span><\/p>\n

Listening to yesterday\u2019s wonderful morning audio, I heard Jimmy say this, \u201cSometimes you got to make some messes to find out that\u2019s really not what you want.\u201d \u00a0Then you added, \u201cWhat we think we want sometimes, if God gives it to us, we find out \u2018That\u2019s not what I want!\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

You went on to say, “And getting out of it then\u2026 you have to go to Him to get out of it!\u201d \u00a0That\u2019s my own testimony.\u00a0 I was that self-willed person who got what I thought I wanted, only to find out quickly, \u201cThat\u2019s not what I want!” \u00a0I would often go in my closet and fall on my face and beg God to get me out of it!<\/span><\/p>\n

It took that miserable experience for me to find out that I don\u2019t want my own way!\u00a0 It was a relief to throw up my hands and surrender my own will to His perfect will for my life!\u00a0 I\u2019ll never forget how I felt after Jesus rescued me, and I was thinking about going to design school.\u00a0 The new, rescued me wasn\u2019t about to make a big life decision without God\u2019s approval.\u00a0 I was driving down the road talking to Jesus about the situation, and I heard myself praying, \u201cGod, please let me know the right thing to do.\u00a0 I am in neutral here.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know what will make me happy, but you do.\u201d \u00a0I had become thoroughly persuaded in my heart that Jesus, and doing\u00a0His\u00a0will, is the only thing that can make anyone happy in this world.\u00a0 Amen!<\/span><\/p>\n

What a sweet, peaceful feeling it is to be content with trusting Jesus for our happiness.\u00a0 I wish I could convince every young person in my life that trusting our future to Jesus is the only way to have any hope of true and lasting happiness, but they must be thoroughly persuaded in their own hearts that this is true.\u00a0 Jesus would prefer that we take the easier route by obeying God and doing His will, but whatever it takes for Jesus to convince us that He is our \u201chappy\u201d is worth whatever we have to go through.\u00a0 I heard this on the recording from yesterday: \u201cWhoever or whatever you hang onto, you\u2019re going to lose anyway.\u201d \u00a0That is true!\u00a0\u00a0So, why not surrender it all to Jesus and be happy!<\/span><\/p>\n

Solomon\u2019s conclusion of the whole matter was ,\u201cFear God and keep His commandments.\u00a0 For God will bring every work into judgement, whether it be good or whether it be evil.\u201d \u00a0Amen!<\/span><\/p>\n
