Good morning, Pastor John!<\/span><\/p>\n

The new job that I started, has stirred my heart,\u00a0and I wanted to share it.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this new position, I will troubleshoot and help recipients of cochlear implants, which is an implanted hearing device.\u00a0\u00a0I am still in training, so I have been listening to the calls coming in and hearing the various situations.\u00a0\u00a0In doing so, I have heard how life-changing it is when the ability to hear is gone due to lost equipment or equipment that needs repair.\u00a0\u00a0I have heard mothers frantically trying to return hearing to their children, elderly who cannot drive to appts or to get food because they are afraid to drive and not hear sirens or horns.\u00a0 They are afraid to be home alone, and feel isolated and alone.\u00a0\u00a0I have heard frustration and heartbreak when financial obstacles block them from new equipment or insurance has denied\u00a0 their claim.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have an hour drive to and from work each day and that is my time to talk with Jesus.\u00a0\u00a0In one of those drives,\u00a0I was thinking about how precious\u00a0my\u00a0hearing is,\u00a0and my heart hurt for those who cannot hear or who go through so much to hear.\u00a0\u00a0I am not angry or against them for not being able to hear.\u00a0\u00a0I want them to hear like I can and will do everything I can to help them.\u00a0\u00a0Some of the situations I hear, I or my colleagues cannot do anything to help them, except ask Jesus to help this person and let them hear.\u00a0\u00a0Other times, I can play one small part,\u00a0and it will change their life.\u00a0\u00a0They can hear and return to work or school, drive to appointments, go to lunch with loved ones and friends, or just make a phone call again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As I feel all of these feelings,\u00a0I feel like Jesus let me know that I should feel like\u00a0that\u00a0for who are spiritually deaf,\u00a0too, because\u00a0they are also cut off from life,\u00a0that I should not be angry or frustrated that they cannot hear His truth, but keep a compassionate heart and pray for them.<\/span><\/p>\n

So,\u00a0I took some time in the morning and read all the verses with the word “deaf” in them.\u00a0\u00a0There are 16.\u00a0\u00a0I am going to share them below because they touched my heart.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We are so very blessed to hear from Jesus!<\/span><\/p>\n

Exodus 4:11\u00a0\u00a0And Jehovah said to him, \u201cWho made man\u2019s mouth? Or who makes the dumb or the\u00a0deaf, or the seeing or the blind? Do not I, Jehovah?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Leviticus 19:14\u00a0You shall not curse a\u00a0deaf\u00a0man, nor shall you put a stumbling block before a blind man, but you shall fear before your God. I am Jehovah.<\/span><\/p>\n

(These two verses really struck my heart.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 28:1 To you I cry, O Jehovah my Rock!\u00a0\u00a0Do not be\u00a0deaf\u00a0to me, lest, if you are silent to me, I be like those who go down into the Pit!<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 38:13\u00a0But I, like a\u00a0deaf\u00a0man, do not hear, and I am like a dumb man who does not open his mouth.<\/span><\/p>\n

(Testify!\u00a0\u00a0Tell what Jesus is doing.\u00a0\u00a0Live!)<\/span><\/p>\n

Psalm 58:4\u00a0Their poison is like the poison of a serpent; they are like a\u00a0deaf\u00a0adder that stops his ear,<\/span><\/p>\n

(I read about deaf adders. It is interesting.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 29:18\u00a0And in that day, the\u00a0deaf\u00a0will hear words of a scroll, and out of dimness and out of darkness, the eyes of the blind will see.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 35:5\u00a0Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the\u00a0deaf\u00a0will be unstopped.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 42:18 \u201cHear, you who are\u00a0deaf, and look, you who are blind, that you may see!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 42:19\u00a0Who is blind, but my servant, and\u00a0deaf\u00a0like my messenger that I send?\u00a0\u00a0Who is blind like the one to be repaid, and blind like the servant of Jehovah?<\/span><\/p>\n

Isaiah 43:8\u00a0Bring forth the blind people who have eyes, and the\u00a0deaf\u00a0who have ears!<\/span><\/p>\n

Micah 7:16\u00a0The Gentiles will see and be ashamed of all their power.\u00a0\u00a0They will lay a hand over their mouth.\u00a0\u00a0Their ears shall become\u00a0deaf.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 7:32\u00a0And they brought him a\u00a0deaf\u00a0man who had a speech impediment, and they begged him to lay his hand on him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 7:37\u00a0And they were completely astounded, saying, \u201cHe has done all things well; he even makes the\u00a0deaf\u00a0to hear and the dumb to speak!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 9:25\u00a0Then Jesus, when he saw that a multitude was running together toward him, rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, \u201cDumb and\u00a0deaf\u00a0spirit, I command you to come out of him, and enter into him no more!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

(Jesus can tell a spirit to never return.\u00a0\u00a0I felt faith surge in me reading that.\u00a0\u00a0My heart said,\u00a0“Do it, Jesus, do it!”)<\/span><\/p>\n
